For many years Virton had a sparse passenger service of usually a single railcar on an alternate hourly service from Libramont. However it was a busy location for freight and several locos were noted stabled there on a visit there on 12 March 1988. Seen in this picture are 5217 and 5404 on a passing freight. Nowadays the passenger service continues through Virton on to Arlon via Rodange. Note: Once again the location map seems to be wrongly loaded with placenames. Closest spelling to Virton = Wirten.
